Only actual and demonstrable expenses are reimbursed, in accordance with ANBI conditions. This applies to all board members and volunteers.

This guarantees that every donated euro goes directly to the project and the young people in Malawi.

Mission

Football as a tool for empowerment.

Football is Life Foundation uses football as a gateway to coaching, life skills and personal development for young people in Malawi.

The foundation focuses on creating sustainable programmes in which local coaches are trained, young people receive structure and guidance, and communities are strengthened from within.

We do not communicate that we 'help poor children'. We build together with local partners towards future opportunities through football and empowerment.

Policy plan

From blueprint to growth.

01

Phase 1 – Soweto as blueprint

In the first year we develop a complete community project in Soweto, Mzuzu. This project serves as a proven model: building a football pitch, coach training (Trainer Coach 1), weekly life skills sessions and 2 years of follow-up.

02

Phase 2 – Expansion within Mzuzu

After successful completion of the Soweto project, we expand to other neighbourhoods in Mzuzu, using the same methodology and local partnerships.

03

Phase 3 – Rumphi and Nkhata Bay

In the longer term we grow to the regions of Rumphi and Nkhata Bay. Always with the same principles: locally embedded, small-scale, sustainable and transparent.
